The company was founded in 2007 by Raj Shekhar, PhD and William Plishker, PhD as a vehicle to commercialize years of their academic research. The company was the winner of 2007 University of Maryland business plan competition. With over 2 million dollars raised through 3 small-business technology transfer grants from the National Institutes of Health, the company is transforming university-based research of accelerated medical image registration into world class products.
