Position: GPU Software Developer Based at IGI Technologies, a Maryland-based medical technology start-up
Description Medical image processing can be greatly accelerated by GPUs. IGI Technologies has a customized algorithm and implementation for improving one application critical to medical imaging. For the individual full-filling this position, he/she will be joining a fast moving, agile start-up experience, which aims to productize and improve and enhance our existing prototype towards commercial viability. The position will involve performance oriented programming, testing, and documentation. While the position will require a candidate with personal drive and the ability to work independently, communication and coordination with other developers will be critical. Opportunities also exist with our collaborator, Children's National Medical Center.
Responsibilities Development of new, novel high-performance image processing implementations Improvement of GPU kernels for existing implementation Management of testing suite (both unit level tests and system level tests) API development of prototype for use with other collaborators
Required 3 years academic or industrial experience in programming 1 years academic or industrial experience in GPU programming, CUDA experience preferred Experience with C, C++, Linux
Preferred Experience with image processing applications Experience with QSR
Location: Washington-Baltimore Area Position to start immediately.
